Howdy, folks. Ken Plume here.
As some of you may know, I’m a big proponent of Comic Relief, which funds some amazing work in both the UK and Africa.
And, in past years, I’ve done my bit during their biannual Red Nose Day celebrations to help raise money for them, including a pair of 24-hour marathons I co-hosted with John “Widgett Walls” Robinson.
Well, this year is Comic Relief’s 25th anniversary, and being mad, I decided to join in the celebrations by holding a 25-hour marathon event in hopes my sheer madness will encourage you to cheer me on by donating anything you can to a great cause.
STARTING AT 12pm EST this Friday, March 1st, I will be streaming 25 CONTINUOUS HOURS of LIVE Bit of a Chats with a clutch of special celebrity guests…
The plan (if all goes as planned) is to feature 50 guests over the course of those 25 hours.
Mad, right?
It may very well be, but Comic Relief – and the work they do – mean a great deal to me, so I’m more than willing to attempt this in hopes that you will make a donation… Which, it should be noted, you can do at any time by CLICKING ON THE BIG RED DONATE BUTTON on the right-hand side of this page. And this means all of you, no matter where in the world you are – The internet is a global community, after all.
Oh, and how about a VERY SPECIAL CHARITY MUSIC SINGLE written by Jonathan Coulton and Paul & Storm, and featuring loads of luminaries, plus a pair of special remixes?
Remember – I NEED YOUR HELP. Not only your donation, if you’re able, but also your assistance in spreading the word.
THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 1st, at 12pm EST, point your browsers here and listen as I Chat the day (and night, and day) away, in an increasingly fragile mental state.
Every little bit helps, and this is my bit. Hopefully it encourages you to do yours.
